Qasr Al Sarab

This must be one of the coolest resorts that we have ever, EVER been to.  Breath-taking and just STUNNING!  Exxon planned an employee retreat/forum for all employees and their families at this incredible resort that is out in the middle of nowhere (about 2 hours from our house).  We loved every second. All of our Exxon friends who have been here for a long time (some as long as 8 years!) said that this never happens and to not expect it anytime soon...boo!

We followed the navigation and turned on to this road, seemingly to nowhere.

After about 5 miles of winding through the desert away from the main road, we finally came to this.

 The front of the hotel

Crossing the main bridge into paradise

Once you enter, they take you to this lobby area where they bring you dates, smoothies, juice, and a cool wash cloth while you wait for them to check you in and bring you your key.

The girls were gitty while exploring our room.

E turning the camera on Daddy (we picked him up from the office on our way)

 The view from our balcony

 Checking out the room!

 Our awesome room

The biggest bath tub any of us had ever seen.

Olivia and Daddy going out to check out the sand

More sand angels (maybe she misses the snow in Canada??!)

The girls were running to the pool the next morning with Mr. Les after Olivia's favorite, a buffet brunch

Beautiful walk down to the pool.

Just incredible!

Mike and Les hiked up to the top of the largest dune in the area.  The girls, Linda, and I stayed by the pool :)

Playing by the covered and super fun kid's pool

She was funny and decided she was done with swimming and cuddle up under towels for a long time

The back of his shirt said, "Sunshine Butler".  Loved that!  They brought us smoothies, fixed our umbrellas when the sun changed, cleaned our glasses, spritzed our face with cool water--rough life!

This belong to some little guy and I am not sure he got to play with it all weekend.  Every other kid in the pool had it!
