Nonna!!!

My neighbor, Linda, saw that tickets to Abu Dhabi from Houston were down to $800 around Valentine's Day.  I posted that on Facebook, and we got taker!  Nonna came to see us for just under two weeks.  The girls were beyond thrilled to see her!  My favorite quote by Olivia about this, "Nonna is gonna come see us all the time because she is already coming and we just got here!".

Our first stop on Valentine's Day was Friday brunch at the Ritz!

 After brunch, we walked about the hotel for a bit and came across an Emirati restaurant that had these statues our front.  The girls found them to be fantastic.

After brunch, we drove over to the Emirates Palace hotel to check it out.  It is another crazy Gulf Arab luxurious hotel. It cost 6 billion dollars to build the hotel and  is the second most expensive hotel ever built, only surpassed by Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.  It is owned by the government, but run by the Kempinski hotel group.  Room prices can exceed $12,000/night!!!!
