Happy 3/4 of a Year!

Happy 9 months to my sweet, happy "Little Bit".

At her 9 month appointment, her fabulous doctor said it was time to let her cry it out at night-- no more night feedings! She has been waking up around 2 and 5 every night for a couple months now. I was gearing up to let her cry it out that night and right before bed, I chickened out saying we would do it this weekend. Unbelievably, she must have heard the doctor, because that night SHE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT! It was the first full night sleep I have gotten in well over a year. The funny thing was, I couldn't even remember whether or not I had fed her; I have become such a night time feeding robot. I finally figured it out that she did, in fact, sleep 12 hours without a peep...I still can't believe it. She has done it ever since too, it wasn't just a fluke! Waahhhh hooooooo!

This month has brought lots of super cute baby things: clapping, waving, banging two objects together and just being a rolly polly baby. She has gotten to eat a lot of yummy solids...she is NOT into purees anymore.

Her Stats:

Weight: 18.2 lbs (50.6 %)
Height: 27.5 in. (47.6 %)
Head: 45 cm. (80.9 %)

Waiting for Dr. Chapados

I want to eat her up!

Zoo Fun

Last Monday was Family Day and the Daddies did not have the day off. So Carolyn and I took all the girls to the zoo. It was just above freezing...perfect weather for the zoo!

How sweet is this?!

Eliza was an angel. Not a peep the entire time we were there. She was just taking it all in.

They were desperately trying to get the sheep to eat their hay. "Sheepy! Sheepy! Come eat our yummy food. Please!! Please!!". So funny.

On the Move

Eliza is never where you left her anymore. She scoots around on her tummy to get a new perspective on things. She only goes in reverse--rather frustrating when she hits a dead end (a wall or a chair) and when she sees what she wants, she is going the wrong way!

BEST Big Sister

I am so very proud of Olivia. She truly is such a great big sister. She is always thinking of her baby sister and looking out for her. She is so mindful of being quiet when Eliza is sleeping, keeps small things out of her reach, and lives to make her giggle. It is just so sweet and melts my heart watching these two girls grow closer and closer.

I love Olivia's open mouth in this one :)

Snow Fun

Sweet Sisters

"Uh-Oh, here comes Big Sister"

"She got me!!"

CRASH!

"That's okay, I think everything my big sister does is fantastic!"

Ladies Who Lunch

We often go to lunch following ballet and gymnastics with Carolyn and Mimi. These photos and these girls are, oh so sweet!
(Another post stolen from Carolyn!!):

Mimi + Olivia. Or as Oliva's Daddy calls them, Pete and Repeat. :)

I wish that everyone could have a friend they love as much as Madeleine
does Olivia. It's such a neat bond they have - even though they are so young.
Little girls, big hearts.

Sunday with Mimi

(stolen from Carolyn's blog)

Madeleine was delighted to spend a Sunday afternoon with with Olivia. I decide to do a "craft" with the girls. The craft is a fairly simple recipe I'd gotten off Pinterest: Pretzel Kisses. It was really easy for the girls to do and they had a lot of fun.

Unwrapping the Kisses

They were careful to centre the kisses on the pretzels

Finished product!

They both loved them! And Mama did too! :)

No Blueberries

I thought Eliza was going to be a great eater as she started off so well. She LOVES all infant cereals, sweet potatoes, bananas and squash...and that is it! She hates peas, peaches, apples, avocado, and now blueberries!

First Pedi

I needed a pedi and thought it would be fun to take Olivia with me. The place by our old house has a fun pink chair for little ones. She just about died, as I have never even painted her toes. She sat there very patiently the entire time I was getting my pedi, watching every move. She was thrilled when it was finally her turn. That night she wouldn't wear her warm fleece footed jammies, afraid the purple polish wouldn't be there when she woke up :)

She chose purple sparkle nail polish

She wanted water like mama

She LOVED it

As we were leaving she said," That was so much fun! Can we come back tomorrow?"
