October Fun

The garage needed to be cleaned and we had two great helpers!  We got the hose and just hosed and squeegeed it all out.  Eliza then got after my car.

 My little hula hoop girl!

ELIZA FINALLY LIKES PUZZLES!  I don't know what it is about her, she just decides one day she likes things that I have been trying to get her into for forever.  She did the same thing with books.

But, once she gets into it, she just goes to town and can't get enough.  It is so funny.  She is my constant reminder that I am not raising the two same little people.  They are both different from each other!

Olivia's school offers a sports program after school on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  They do 8 weeks of basketball, then soccer, and then softball.  She loved it, but tried several times to shoot the ball at the wrong basket!

 Our cheerleader, cheering her on!

We are still Rainbow Loom crazy!  She could watch youtube videos all day of new bracelets to make.

Christmas at Ace Hardware in OCTOBER!  This is worse than the States!  Love my Horns girls!

I picked up a copy of Ivy + Bean.  She can't get enough!  It is really funny to all of a sudden have a little reader at home.  She just sits and quietly reads by herself.

I volunteered with my friends for the PTA selling snow cones after school on Thursdays in October.  It was so cute how into it our kids got.  They loved helping make them and drumming up business.  Very cute!

Olivia's favorite after school activity is Girls Scouts.  Two of my friends are the group leaders and they are amazing!  So sweet with our girls.  They planted some vegetables/herbs seeds and brought them home to take care of.  Olivia took her watering job very seriously (as she does with any responsibility!).  They put them all together and gave them to the sweet school caretakers.  The Principal, Mr. Johnson, came to talk to them about the importance of this.

We have been to some serious birthday parties here in Abu Dhabi.  This one might just take  the cake. It was on a yacht!  We took a trip out to a little island for the party!

Olivia with Amna, Nina and Nina's dad.  Both of these friends, coincidentally, are from Texas originally.

After our ride out to the island, we had a little boat ferry us to the beach where they had quite the spread out for us.

The dads hid some treasure for a later scavenger hunt.  There were two groups to find the two separate treasures.  It took about an hour to find the lost treasures.  Both groups could not find the buried treasure.  All the dads were trying so hard to retrace the steps and follow the map.  It was too funny!

 Yay, they found the treasure!

This was the yacht we went out on.

 Captains Olivia and Amna

The party favor was two fish...yay, thanks so much, Naia's Mom, Raya ;-).  As soon as we got in the car, I had the discussion with Olivia that fish only live a few days at home, and not to get too attached.  They lasted about a week!
