November Fun

The real deal Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast came to Abu Dhabi!  We bought the movie in preparation for the show.  I also brought out the CD of the musical from when I went to see it in New York for my 21st birthday.  To say they loved it, would be a huge understatement!  They were enamored with it!

Olivia's Daisy troop had a bake sale.  This is their only fundraiser of the year as we can't do cookies over here.  Olivia loves a good fundraiser :-)

With my friend, Ayesha (a fellow Longhorn!!), her daughter Amna and their friend, Jawaher.

This is the BEST time of year here.  The weather is gorgeous every day.  It is in the 70's or 80's and sunny every day!!!  We are spending so much time outside in or backyard.  This was a teacher inservice day.  I got to eat breakfast outside watching my cuties play.

It is still warm enough for a trip to the water park!!!  This was our last one of the year.  It was a little chilly, but still fun!

 This place is awesome!

Olivia and my friend Nancy's daughter, Evelyn.  I have said this before, but one of the greatest things about living here, is the safety of it.  We let these two girls go off by themselves (Evelyn is in 3rd grade) to do some water slides together and didn't think twice about their safety.  Love that!

 Love my cuties!

NONNA AND PAPA CAME TO VISIT!!!  The girls were thrilled they came for a visit from Japan!

Olivia got to bring home the class teddy bear while they were here.  She wrote several journal entries about all of their adventures that weekend.

We went to Friday brunch at the amazing St. Regis on Saaydiat Island (about 20 minutes from our vila).  It is just gorgeous out there.  Turquoise blue water and white sandy beaches.  Beautiful!

They had the coolest little thing for the kids.  They got to "fish" for their treat.  Olivia had several treats, she loved the fishing game so much.  We got our money's worth out of that one!

Mike took his dad and the girls out on a dune bashing trip.

Eliza wanted to take "Bunny" out because Olivia had her bear from school.

Olivia's teacher's birthday.  The parents got her a cake, balloons, and a gift for a surprise party for her!  It was so sweet.  The kids were so excited about it.  She is an amazing teacher and we feel so lucky to have gotten Mrs. Bulluck!

Coffee for the adults and a milkshake for Eliza at Emirates Palace Hotel

 So silly!

We got to watch Eliza at her ballet class this week.  Such a treat to see my chatty little lady.  She has a lot to say about everything.  Not one bit of shyness in this little girl.  I asked her ballet teacher if she was always that chatty, she said, "yep, but we love it".

We went to Dubai for the day.  We went to Madinat Jumeriah and saw the Burj al Arab hotel.

Super fun time at the aquarium at Dubai Mall

The King Croc exhibit opened since the last time we were there.  So very cool!!

O asked me to take this picture :-)

Stunning at night, the Burj Khalifa

We took a trip out to Qasr al Sarab to show Mike's parents the amazing desert resort

My ladies in the Liwa Desert
