Busy Busy May Part 2

I just love cruising around with my little buddy in the back.  Next year we won't have this time alone  in-between preschool pick-up and picking up Olivia.  My sweet sweet baby is growing up.

Sophia, Olivia, Maysa, Naia, and Tala at the talent show tryouts...they made it!  The "Shake-It-Off Girls"!

My school bus for the day!  I took Tala, Nina, Olivia and Amna to a friend's paintball birthday party.

Getting ready for paintball...it was really just super soakers with colored water.

 Super soakers!

Almost everyday after my bootcamp a really fun group of moms and I sit and have coffee at the Costa Coffee shop, right by our gym (one of the top reasons why I love living in Abi Dhabi).  My friends had asked me what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said something low key, not expensive, easy.  Well, after workout on my birthday, I walked into the coffee shop to a surprise birthday coffee with not only my workout friends, but also so many of my lovely Abu Dhabi friends!  It was so very sweet, so thoughtful and just perfect, exactly what I would have wanted.  They got a pink cake (my favorite color) from my favorite place and it just so happened that my good friend Angie, one of the birthday coffee organizers, and I were both wearing pink.  So so very special and a total surprise to walk in and see all of my sweet friends.  Loved it!

Eliza has really been into drawing and coloring lately.  She is actually pretty good...here's to hoping her fine motor skills are a bit better than the rest of ours in this house!  Here is a picture of me that she drew and then took a picture of with my phone :-)

The day of the talent show!

With her good friends from her class.  Amna and Nina beautifully danced to a Bollywood song and 3 out of five Shake-It-Off Girls.  Sophia got sick the day before the talent show, total bummer!

Tala, Naia, and Olivia right before the show!

The did great!  It was really cute and they had a blast!  ACS really makes an effort to get kids in front of audiences to build their self confidence.

Olivia and her Daisy troop at the end of the year ice skating party.  Olivia said she was going to try to be courageous (one of the Girls Scout Daisy Petals) and skate without the penguin and she did!

My little cutie taking a snack break at Yas Water World two weekends ago

One of our favorite weekend spots is the fun patio at the City Golf Club.  The kids can run around and jump in a bounce house, while the parents get to sit and relax.  We looked at the weather and saw that it was only going to be 100 degrees at 5 PM...perfect patio weather when you live in the Middle East, right?!  Well, the sun setting on us was a little warm, even with the outdoor a/c's blowing on us. Christa and I decided to make our own shade with our menus :-)

The kids didn't care about the heat!

After patiently waiting for Olivia at her Girl Scouts end of the year party and not being able to participate, Eliza really wanted to try ice skating.  I told her that was a Daddy activity, not knowing that Mike had never ice skated before! So two weekends ago, the girls were adamant we take them ice skating.  It was hilarious!  After about 10 minutes, Eliza got off the ice and said she was done because, "It was too tricky".  She is so funny!

Olivia is so determined to do it without the penguin

I sat at the coffee shop and made my grocery list :-)

This is so typical of the UAE.  This lady is here with her two daughters to ice skate. Of course, each daughter has their own nanny!
