Scarecrow Festival

Olivia's school held a Scarecrow Festival to celebrate Halloween.  Luckily, it was on a Wednesday, Eliza's Mother's Day Out day, so I could go with her.  She had so much fun!

Face painting!  By the way, ever since Eliza's birthday party where we had a face painter, Olivia wants to be a face painter when she grows up!

Outside Fun

So Olivia decided she wanted to be on Mike's back while he gardened.  The best dad in the world just went with it.  She was on there for a good 15 minutes while he gardened.  He was walking around, crouching up and down like he didn't have a 36 pound cutie on his back!  It was hilarious.  Olivia was hot and decided she wanted to go swimming.  She went in, got her suit on, put her feet in and changed her mind immediately.  October is not really swimming weather with our shaded pool.

Eliza wondering what in the world is going on in there!

Love that little belly button popping out

We had to figure out a way to baby proof the ladder to the playgym.  Miss "I have no fear" went up there like it was nothing.

HA!  I am up where I shouldn't be!

Caramel Apples

Nonna came over with all of the items necessary to make caramel apples.  Both of the girls had lots of fun.  Eliza "helped" by testing a few of the caramels after they were unwrapped for quality assurance.  They were so yummy!

Cousin Fun!

How fantastic is this photo?!  All the cousins looking at the camera and most have at least a pleasant smile on their faces.  Miracles do happen.  These cousins love each other so much.  I love that they are growing up together.

Skateboarding (in the house!) with Aiden

Aunt Heather found some ink blotters.  Eliza thought that was great.

State Fair

We thought it would be fun to go to Dallas for Texas/OU weekend, even though we did not have tickets for the game.  We had so much fun at the State Fair!  We had a bit of a rough start.  I intentionally left my purse at the house.  Mike went to an ATM to get cash to park and discovered his ATM card was expired.  Once in the Fair grounds, we could use credit card, but needed $15 to park.  After about 30 minutes of trying to figure out how to get a cash advance from American Express and that failing, Mike went into a pharmacy to try to get cash one more time from our American Express card.  Unbelievably, sitting in the ATM machine was a $20 bill!!!  It was crazy!  Mike waited for a long time to see if anyone came to claim it.  That has never happened to us or anyone I have ever heard of.  In a time of need of just $15, $20 magically appeared!  During all of this chaos, Olivia fell asleep in the car.  We had intended to use the stroller for Eliza, but Olivia ended up sleeping through the first hour of the State Fair in the stroller.  She must have been exhausted!!

She did not wake up when I moved her from the car to the stroller and slept for about an hour while strolling around the loud Fair!

Mike got a jalepeno corn dog!  This might have been Eliza's last ride in the Baby Bjorn :)

 A Longhorn!!

Grab the goat by the horns :)

In the middle of the chaos of the Fair, we found this quiet shaded, turf spot to enjoy Eliza's first funnel cake.  The girls were HUGE fans!

 Loving the powdered sugar

The only ride she rode on. For whatever reason, she just wanted to do this one.

Happy Birthday, Pong Pong

The big 7-0!!!  We went over to my parents to celebrate Pong Pong's birthday.  We enjoyed a yummy dinner and my Dad's favorite, carrot cake!  Olivia has really taken an interest in gift giving lately.  For Pong Pong's birthday present she decided on getting him shaving cream and gardening gloves!  Since my Dad is one of those people that is IMPOSSIBLE to get gifts for, that is what we got him :)

Fun with a Box

We all know the story and ours is no different.  Huge playroom full of toys and they play with a box!  David, Jolyn and Cousin Colin came over one night to watch the Horns game.

Like she commonly does, Eliza wanted to spend the whole night in a new man's arms :)  She wouldn't let him put her down all night.
