Shanghai

We just loved Shanghai.  We really didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did.

This beautiful hotel, the historic Fairmont on the Bund, was a welcome site to all of us after our overnight train and stay in the Hutong in Beijing.  Our room wan't ready when we got there early in the morning, but thankfully the let us get ready in the spa.

We got picked up about an hour after arriving at the hotel to start our tour of Shanghai!

Love the architecture

Walking on the zig zag bridge at one of our first stops, the gorgeous Yu Garden

Fantastic dragon on top of the wall

Highlight of Shanghai for the girls, the Koi fish.  It was almost impossible to get them to leave

Checking out the fish, again

My little loves

Our fantastic tour guide took us to get one of our favorite things ever, XiaoLongBao.  All four of us could eat our weight in these soup filled dumplings

After lunch we went to the super fun Oriental Pearl Tower or TV Tower

It provided views of the second and third tallest buildings in the world

The insane glass bottom floor!

It literally made me nauseous walking out on this

My baby girl

The girls loved it.  The glass floor didn't bother them a bit

On the ground floor of the TV Tower was a very kid friendly museum with wax figures, depicting Shanghai's history.

It had a model of the Bund.  The green pointed roof building was our hotel

Olivia at the "sushi bar"

Visiting Xintiandi, a pedestrian only shopping zone

That night, we went on a walking food tour.  One of our first stops was a place that served the water snake we watched have its head snipped off and skinned right there on the street.

Ick!  Olivia and Mike really enjoyed it.  It was breaded and deep fried.  While I had a quick taste, Eliza refused

Super yummy food

Waiting for Shanghai Disney to open!  So. Many. People. So little personal space!

Here we go!

Pirates of the Caribbean

AMAZING UNBELIEVABLE INCREDIBLE ride!

Dumbo!

We rode Tron in Tomorrowland twice.  Such a fun roller coster.  Eliza was just barely tall enough to ride it, but squeaked in.

Peter Pan

Winnie the Pooh

A camel!

Rainy and oh so cold!

We finally fed them!  American hotdogs

Castle was stunning

Really cool floats at the parade

Mulan

Such a fun, albeit cold day

All of the taxis had these weird plastic shields around the driver

Soo tired!

We had a delicious Chinese dinner within walking distance of the hotel

A nice warm bubble bath after a fun, but freezing day
