Hoi An, Vietnam

Sadly, our last stop on one of the most amazing trips to date.  Hoi An was just magical.  It is a UNESCO heritage site, known for its well preserved Ancient Town.

Sweet girls at our fantastic hotel

Lovely little streets of Hoi An

 They loved the pool!

We stayed at the same hotel chain in Hanoi and these girls LOVED their spaghetti bolognese.  After two weeks of Vietnamese food, they needed something a little more familiar....they had it almost every day we were there!

Hot Eliza waiting for Daddy to buy a leather apron for when he smokes meat.  The store clerk loved playing with her hair.  Eliza was in heaven.

We had a tour guide take us out My Son, a UNESCO world heritage site, sadly heavily bombed during the Vietnam War.  There are still giant craters where bobs hit.

 Delicious lunch, Pho

Olivia loved it, Eliza typically just ate the noodles

My loves walking by the water after lunch.

After lunch, we went up to marble mountain.  A site right by China Beach

 Beautiful pagodas

 "Secret Beach"

Liv's turn!

After the beach, we went to a local market with our Vietnamese cooking class instructor

 The freshest herbs!

I loved all of the elderly ladies everywhere in Vietnam.  They seriously run the place

 She cracked me up

 Ready to cook!

 So yummy!

 Our lovely instructor

 Olivia's first time using a knife :|

After the class, I picked up the dress I had made.

Our Ecco tour started with the 90 year old potter in a nearby village

Then we went to a "Silk Village" and learned all about how silk is made

 Silk worms

Next up, a water buffalo ride through a rice paddy!

Then we went to visit where all of the fresh herbs are grown.  These farms provide the herbs to many of the restaurants in town.

Olivia trying out the water system used before sprinklers were installed.

Then we went on a donut boat ride.  This was so much fun!

 Fishing for crabs

Back at the hotel for more spaghetti bolognese! Love Eliza's face!

We went back to the same restaurant where we ate the first night, Morning Glory, it was just that good.  We even bought the cookbook.

The most iconic landmark in Hoi An, The Japanese Covered Bridge.  Hoi An at night it really something to see.  It is just magical.  The lanterns and the lights.  We loved it!

Getting in our last few moments of Vietnam before heading to the airport.  Michael and I both said we would have done this trip all over again right then and there, start to finish.  It was that incredible. We loved every bit of this amazing two week adventure.

One last bowl!  We got their recipe, but it didn't translate...it wasn't yummy at all.
