Cambodia

Next stop, Cambodia and just wow.  This place made such an impression on us all...the history, the amazing temples, the tremendous poverty.  It left us all in awe.

Angkor Wat

Having fun with our tour guide

Eliza "loving" the hot humid temples

"Tomb Raider" temple.  Where the movie Tomb Raider was filmed

Eliza refused to take pictures for me. Olivia was my only taker.

 At a lesser know temple

Our family favorite of all the temples we visited in Cambodia, Bayon Temple.

Back at the awesome pool at our little campy hotel.  Well deserved after the sweltering heat of temple-ing.

Day two!  We originally scheduled three full days of a guided tour of the temples.  After the epic first day and almost melting, we decide to cancel the guide and just take a slower pace.  We went just in the morning and in the tuk-tuk provided by the hotel.  The open air was just lovely for drying off after a temple visit.

Stunning temple about an hour away with the most beautiful carvings.

That night we went to this unexpectedly super entertaining "circus".  This show is put on by an NGO school and professional arts training center for local orphaned and "street" kids.

Riding an elephant back at Bayon temple

Our awesome tuk-tuk for two days

 Last day of temples!

Eliza was DONE with hot, humid temple touring

Lovely Cambodian dancing show at the hotel, our last night in Siem Reap

So long Cambodia! We just loved it
