Maya is an amazing dog. She is so unbelievably good and patient with our girls. She is 11 and a half years old and is still as spunky as ever. She has endured a lot with our family--moving to the desert and not seeing a blade of grass for 3 years, then moving to the frozen tundra and having to go out in -30 degrees in several feet of snow. She is so happy now with a big backyard with lots of lizards to chase and a pool to take a refreshing dip in.
These girls ride her like a horse all the time and Maya just looks at me like, "WHY did we have to bring another one of these home?". I have even walked in on Eliza poking Maya directly in the eye saying "eye", and Maya just sat there, without much complaint. It is so nice to not have to worry one bit about the girls being around her. We are so lucky to have this crazy bird dog.
