Eliza used to be a great sleeper! She was going 8+ hour stretches at night. Sadly for Mama, that has now ALL changed! She is currently waking up every 1-4 hours (4 is really rare!) wanting to nurse or her paci that has fallen out. Additionally, she refuses to sleep in her crib during the day. Instead preferring my arms or the couch. Maybe it is the leather she likes...do they make leather crib sheets??? I would pay good money for some if I thought that would work.
I think we need to "cry it out", but I am just not ready to do that or become a slave to a strict schedule or chained to the house for nap time. We are on the go every morning with big sister's preschool and other activities. She is also a skinny mini and I hate to deny her milk! Is there a cry it out "light" method?
What kills me is the huge smiles and coos she gives me when she is ready to start the day. She looks at me like, "Was last night fun or what?!?".
I welcome any and all suggestions. I have tried unswaddling her and the use of a noise machine...neither worked. Everytime I try to put her down in her crib during the day, she wakes up no matter how long I hold her for. She has ZERO self-soothing skills!!

I've been jogging my memory.I think I read this book... "Secrets of the Baby Wisperer" by Tracy Hogg and I really liked it. You can read this little bit about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secrets_of_the_Baby_Whisperer.

My girls were always horrible sleepers so I had to work at it - I'm sure you remember me just letting Katelyn cry. Finally, at 6 months, she was sleeping for longer periods of time at night. She has NEVER been a natural napper but I feel it was for the best especially since my kids were so close in age. I couldn't imagine having to hold or rock two kiddos to sleep for every single nap, etc. It's definitely not easy to let them cry...
