Family Birthday "Party"

We continued the tradition and took Eliza to our favorite hole in the wall Mexican restaurant, El Patio, for her actual birthday.  Olivia makes a huge distinction between one's "family birthday party" and their "friend birthday party"--it is so funny.  She made it very clear to Eliza that her friend party was over and this was her all important family birthday party.

Milestones

Eliza is one chatty little thing.  Her vocabulary is amazing.  She has hundreds and hundreds of words, I couldn't even begin to estimate.  She is producing, on average, 5-8 word utterances and often even longer ones. She just seems to "get" things.  She can sing her ABC's and count to 15.  Her favorite song is The Farmer in the Dell.  She is still climbing on anything and everything...no worries in the gross motor department.  Her favorite thing to do is wash her hands and anything having to do with water.  She is finally starting to like to look at books, mainly books about animals.  Doing art is still a messy messy activity and one that I avoid.  She does not paint or color on the paper...always everything else around the house!  She is one curious little lady.  Interested in getting into everything and figuring it all out.  She has become quite the Mommy fan, but still loves getting out of the house and saying "hi" to everyone.  She is still so social.  She is such a little love bug.  She loves to be held and just have that personal contact.  She is so affectionate.  She quite enjoys terrorizing her sister and loves to get a rise out of her!  She will grab something Olivia is playing with and just take off with it laughing hysterically, as Olivia freaks out.  Such a stinker!  If you call her a stinker, she says, "I not stinker, I Eliza".  :) She melts our hearts everyday.  What a cute little 2 year old!
