Santa

Olivia is DEATHLY afraid of all things in a costume (Dracula at Halloween, the Easter Bunny, Santa...). She has a healthy amount of fear of anything that is the least bit scary. We talked and talked about going to see Santa and sitting on his lap and she kept telling me, "Maybe when I get bigger". I tried telling her that Santa wouldn't bring her toys if she didn't go see him and tell him what she wanted. She said, "That is okay. My mommy buys me lots of toys"! Ducky has a Santa costume from Olivia's first Christmas and she thought it might help her fear if she put in on in front of her. It didn't!

Wolfie loved "Santa Ducky"

We went to Berings to at least get a picture of Eliza with Santa (those in Houston, this is the best place to see Santa. It is free, there is no wait, and they e-mail the pictures to you instantly). When it was our turn, I plopped Eliza on his lap and then decided to just throw Olivia on there too. She was so scared and just sat there refusing to look at him or talk to him. Once it was finished, she talked about how brave she was and how not scary it was. The picture tells a different story!

We told them that Uncle Matt was going to go first to show Olivia that is was okay. Really we just thought it would be funny to post this on Facebook, which I still need to do! Santa sked him if he was going to show this to all of his girlfriends :)

Who is this guy?!

LOVE this!

Your story made me laugh - what does it mean when your 3 year old knows that you buy her too many toys... we didn't even try with Jaydon this, just settled for various disney characters dressed up in holiday gear.
Merry Christmas!!
