Professional Pictures

My sister-in-law says I am addicted to professional pictures...she might be right! I had some taken of the girls while we were home for Christmas. I think Eliza's turned out really cute. It was easy to get her to smile naturally. Olivia's fake smile is not her cutest look :)

Big Girls!

Eliza looks rather plump in this photo! She is actually quite robust only in the lower half of her body :)
We started finger foods! Just Puffs, but I know she is looking forward to more yummy things. Eliza LOVES to eat!

She is starting to get up on her knees and rock back and forth. The beginning of my least favorite baby stage :(. I do not like the crawling phase!

3 1/2 already!!!

Jasper

Mike had a three day weekend last weekend so we decided to head back to Jasper in Banff National Park. It is possible that this will be our last chance to get to the mountains before leaving Canada...sniff sniff.

O riding a bear

Hard to believe, but this was Olivia's first hot chocolate. Like most things yummy (french fries, pizza, chicken fingers, ice cream, etc.) she didn't like it!

Love this hotel's lounge area with couches. Great for kiddos!

Olivia playing on her awesome travel cot

On our way to dinner the third night, Olivia was indulging in a little Leap Frog in the car (taking advantage of the DVD player being in the car for the long trip) and FELL ASLEEP! It was only a 10 minute drive. She slept through the entire 20 minute wait for a table, dinner and the below freezing walk to the car. Mike left her ear phones on and it looked hilarious. She was one tired little lady! That has never happened.

View at the hotel

We hit a bunch of traffic on the way out of town. A herd of Big Horn Sheep were having a little snack in the middle of the highway!

Brrrrrrrrr!!

Just when we were excited about the unseasonably warm weather, a bitterly cold cold front blew in. Olivia asked me, "Mommy why are you putting so many things on me?!"

The coldest I saw it get in my car, but we had temps in the negative 30's F all last week. Notice this was at noon! Poor Mike had to get out in it at 6AM each morning!

Sweet Sisters

I looked back last week and saw this sweet moment. These two girls make my world go 'round :)

First Time in a Shopping Cart

She thought it was hilarious! Olivia wouldn't ride in the shopping cart this day until Baby Sister was loving it :) I didn't have the shopping cart cover and of course, Eliza woke up with a cold the next morning (and Olivia did the same the following day...boo!).

As a side note, notice how there is no snow!! This has been an amazingly warm winter so far with little snow! Last year at this time we had 6 feet of snow on either side of our driveway.

New Year's in Rockport

We spent most of the week of New Year's down in Rockport with all of the Stobaugh gang. Olivia was in heaven playing with her "big cousins". She just adores them. When we got back, she kept saying things like, "I am going to eat all my lunch so I can be big like my cousins". SO cute! What an awesome week!!! Way too much fun was had by all!

A round of golf anyone?

We were shocked (huge understatement) to learn Olivia needed glasses! She failed the vision screening at her 3 year appointment and I just figured she didn't understand the task. Turns out she is significantly farsighted! Crazy. Mike and I are both only slightly nearsighted. She has one eye that is doing all of the work. So hopefully, after three months and another visit to the optometrist, she won't need patch therapy. She was really excited to show her new glasses to her cousin, Emery who also wears glasses. Delia was quite jealous :)

Love this cute smile

Uncle Mike was a hero for his fire pit and weenie roast idea..."Turn the wiener, turn the wiener, ah, ah , ah, ah" (sung to "Stayin' Alive")

Olivia's first lottery ticket! She won $4
Notice her ultra fancy party dress...she refused to wear anything but dresses the entire time we were at the beach. At least it was a festive occasion!
