Fun With the Rays

This was Aunt Carrie's first visit to Abu Dhabi!  A must on any visit to Abu Dhabi is the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque.  It is just stunning!  This was also Mike's first visit to the mosque; I have always been the tour guide for visitors while he is at work.

After the Mosque, we went to Asia de Cuba on the water for a pitstop

Dubai!  The girls and the Rays went to the fun snow park at Ski Dubai.  Mike and I just cruised the mall without kids!

Mike and his family went dune bashing while the girls and I waited at the camp.

We rode camels!

Dancing with the belly dancer.  The girls had an absolute blast dancing all night.  They were inviting the crowd up to join them.  They really just lit the entire camp up with their energy.  People came up to me after telling me how fun it was watching them and how great their spirit was.  It was so fun!

The High Seas

We were invited by my dear friend, Raya, to go out on her in-laws' company boat for Boxing Day.  We happily agreed.  So, it pretty much never ever ever rains in Abu Dhabi.  Maybe 3-5 days a year do we see rain and usually it is just a sprinkle.  Well, not the day we have booked to go out on the open seas!  What a hilariously ridiculously fun time we had.  A true adventure that we won't forget!

Getting ferried out to the island for lunch and fun

Raya, as usual, outdid herself with the delicious food.  This is when the sprinkles started coming

The tide also started really rising.  The girls were trying to stop it

We finally gave in to the cold wind and rain and headed back to Abu Dhabi
