Cute Shots

 Sweetness playing with Maya's toys!

She loves sitting in their PBK chairs!

 "Hi"

 Even "Hi" to herself!!

And She's Off!

Nothing makes her happier than practicing her walking!  When she is fussy at night and I am trying to push her a bit, just do a few laps and she is one happy girl!

Hi!

Digging around in my purse, she finds my phone..."Hi" over and over again :)

11 Months

This past month brought us even more joy from this sweet baby girl.  She is just too much fun and what a personality already!  This month she started really pulling up on everything.  She has quickly learned how to get back down safely, which is great when they learn that.  She also got two more teeth, bringing the count to seven.  I always think it is funny that we get so excited about another tooth.  The greatest developmental milestone this month was TALKING!  Music to my SLP ears.  She is now saying, "Hi", "Mama", and "Dada".  It is the cutest thing.  She is saying "hi" to anyone and everyone.  She smiles and waves and in the softest, cutest voice, says, "hi".  Precious!  Many times when taking a break during nursing, she will look up at me and say, "Mama".  Melts my heart.

 Sweet toothy grin

 My Little Sweet

Taking these monthly pictures has really gotten difficult.  She won't just sit there and smile anymore.  She thinks it is so fun to climb around all over the chair.  She definitely does not have a fear of falling yet, despite taking a couple tumbles.

 "Oh, Mama!"

Sleep Sack

Eliza is very particular about certain things.  I tried and tried to wean her off the swaddle blankets.  When she was unswaddled, she would scream with her arms straight up in the air for an hour or longer.  I would cave and put her swaddle blanket back on and she would fall fast asleep.  Finally, right before we went home for Easter (when she was 9 months old!) she apparently decided she was finally ready.  You have to do things on her terms and when she is done with something, it almost seems like she says, "Okay, now I am ready", like it is no big deal.  We are finally in sleep sack! It is funny to go in and see her asleep like this, face down.  Not a photo for a, "Back is Best" or anti-SIDS campaign. :)

Shades!

A couple weeks ago, the weather was nice enough to go to the dog park that is just down the street from us.  We all had on our "too cool for school" shades :)

Olivia picked these beauties out while in Indianapolis.  She could not be talked out of them!

Galaxy Land

We went back to Galaxy Land (indoor amusement park, inside the mall) with our BFF's and had way too much fun!  Olivia has been talking about going back ever since.

Eliza is an old pro now

The Cosmic Bounce: takes you up about 50 feet and then drops you again and again, then repeat!  The girls had to have a chaperone and Carolyn is pregnant....I was quite nauseous for a while afterwards, but all three of us giggled the entire time.

Next up was the dragon roller coaster.  This thing actually moves pretty quickly and is quite bumpy.  They loved it!

Brave Mimi saw the bigger kids doing "no hands" and she did only one hand :)

I think they were a little young for bumper cars.  Neither one of the really "got it" and pretty much were just spinning in circles or getting stuck up against a wall.  It was really funny.

Hair By Banana

Eliza has this fabulous habit of grabbing her hair halfway through a sticky meal. :)

Indy!

We were off to Indy to visit Nana and Papa Bill!  They still hadn't met Eliza yet!

 Wheels up!  Here we go.

 Getting a closer look

Nana went crazy and got the girls all kinds of toys.  O LOVED the doctor set!

The Indianapolis Children's Museum (largest in the country) is phenomenal!  Olivia is inside a "dinosaur's nest"

Eliza loving watching all the sights and sounds, especially her big sister race around

Nght time in the dinosaur area was a little scary and we left pretty quickly

 Excavating fossils in Egypt

Eliza's first merry-go-round ride.  Coincidentally, the same Carrousel that Olivia had her first ride on too.

I would love to build a little house like this in our backyard.

 Sand in the toddler area

Papa Bill giving Eliza a lift up the hill

Olivia planted these flowers for a good 30 minutes.  Huge fan!

Eliza doing a little light gardening

 Doing some heavy lifting

In an Indy 500 race car

 Drumming in "Egypt"

Eliza getting musical (fading fast as it was way past nap time)

 My Nana!

 How sweet

Getting a ride on Nana's wheelchair

Thanks so much Nana and Papa Bill!!  We had so much fun!  Love you!
