First Bath At Home

She hated every minute--screamed the entire time! Olivia was in heaven, however :)

My trusty helper!

Uncle Joel

We were so excited that Uncle Joel was able to come into town to meet our sweet girl. There was one almost three year old who was thrilled! Uncle Joel is held in such high esteem by Olivia. She absolutely adores him and I know Eliza will too!

Cousins Meet Eliza

Eliza came home on my birthday and within 10 minutes of being home, we had our first visitors!! Uncle Tim, Aunt Jenny, and Cousins Emery and Delia stopped in Houston on their way to Rockport to meet Eliza. It was a short but super fun visit. We so appreciate the effort they made to come meet her before we left to go back to Canada.

Going Home!

After three days of staying in the hospital, I got the best birthday present--it was time to take Eliza home! We took her home to my parent's house. Eliza wore the same Feltman Brothers dress that I wore and then Olivia wore home from the hospital.

Getting dressed in Mommy's dress that was first worn 33 years ago, almost to the day.

All ready!

First family photo

We finally got the all clear to leave and Eliza got her baby lojack taken off

Olivia took it very seriously when we told her that her hands had to be clean to touch the baby. Her hands were sanitized every time she saw one of these around the hospital.

Hospital Fun

I am one of those weird people that loves being in the hospital. That could be that I have only really stayed in a hospital for the exciting time of having my girls! It was just so special, I loved every minute! Olivia came up everyday and couldn't get enough of her sister.

In this one, you can see the gift Eliza got for Olivia--the giant giraffe

Eliza lost a little more weight in the hospital than they would have liked the first two days. Our pediatrician recommended we give her a bottle of formula until my milk came in. She was screaming hungry before the bottle and a blissful sleeper after and since!

I love this sweet picture

Happy Birthday Eliza Louise!

I have been overwhelmed at the thought of this post and have put it off for too long for several reasons

1) We could not have asked for a more perfect day meeting our second daughter. It is hard to put into words exactly how magical it was! Everything went so smoothly and better than expected. It is tied for best day of my life, along with the day wet met Olivia. What amazing hospital staff!

2) There are so many fabulous pictures it is so hard to choose my favorites

3) I am so BUSY now with two fabulous little girls!
